The Computer Science and Information Systems Department (CSIS) offers majors and minors in four areas: Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, and Cybersecurity. Programs of study in Computer Science are intended for students planning to work in the high technology computer industry or pursue graduate work in computer science. Programs of study in Computer Information Systems are intended for students planning to work in applied areas that utilize computers as application tools. Programs of study in Computer Information Technology are intended for students interested in working on setting up the computing infrastructure of an organization, including network and system administration. Programs of study in Cybersecurity are intended for students interested in applied areas of secure software development or in pursuing graduate work in information security and assurance.
