| Description |
The course emphasizes the skills of close reading as well as understanding Shakespeare's texts within the context of early modern history and culture. In addition to reading a variety of Shakespeare's comedies, tragedies, and romances, students will study video taped performances of select passages and scenes in order to analyze and discuss the many different and differing ways the plays can an have been recreated. Students may repeat the course as the covered play texts change. |
