Description This course examines the major developments in architecture, sculpture, painting, and the decorative arts worldwide, from prehistory through the Middle Ages. In addition to cross-cultural comparison of diverse traditions and histories of art, the course will introduce the student to important vocabulary and methods fundamental to the discipline of art history. Art & Design majors should be simultaneously enrolled in Art 233M Global History of Art I: Methods. MnTC Goal 8.
