This course is designed to provide an overview of the field of gerontology with an emphasis on senior care and services/ resources available to meet the needs of elderly population. The course considers the continuum of care including home case, assisted living, skilled nursing facilities and hospice. The role of technology, including gero-technology, in improving quality of life is examined. |
